Can I raise funds in dollars? Or do I have to raise them in something else?

Creators can raise funds for their project in either ETH or USDC using our site.  While your fans will be buying their tickets from you using a credit card, those funds will have to be converted into either ETH or USDC to be able to be held within your crypto wallet. It's easy at the time of making your tickets to choose which currency to raise in using a simple drop down.

We offer both because we know that some creators prefer ETH if they are native web3.  Most creators that are new to this model are using USDC, as it's known as one of the most stable currencies in crypto.  To learn more about USDC, see here.  

At the time of collecting your funds, when your raise is done, you will be prompted to pull down the currency as either ETH or USDC...you can choose.  Then, you simply need to bring it to an exchange like Coinbase to transfer the USDC to US dollars.  Our Creator Onboarding and Education department has a set of infographics that explain how to do this easily!  Alternately, we're onboarding a vendor now that can let you simply get a card that you can use like any credit card (Mastercard, etc.) to spend your USDC like you would regular cash.
